2016
Our Humble Beginnings--
After winning Ms. Geek Competition in 2016 and being crowned with the business idea of automatic irrigation system with precision Farming based on IOT, Rosine MWISENEZA and Jean de Dieu KWIZERA founded SmAgri Ltd. The Company was established to offer automated Irrigation systems to Rwandan citizen and Sub-Saharan Africa in general. The farmers are provided with a mobile application for to control and monitor their farms, the Sensing systems as a central part for information collection and response reaction using LoraWAN protocols between farms and a cloud application to present real-time farm Data interrelationship and field information including weather, yield, resources, pests and diseases.

SmAgri Ltd implements a smart and precision agriculture project to help farmer to raise and maximize food production using intelligent IOT system. We automate irrigation schemes, fertilizer addition and pests’ control. We save farmers resources by email and SMS notifications by real time data analytics and sharing for decision making purposes and controls. Generally, we offer support from seeding up to harvesting.
